The Associan on of Firearms and Ammunn on Dealers (AFAD) is gearing up for its third and final hosƟ ng
of the 30th Defense and Sports Arms Show Manila EdiƟ on, scheduled for November 20-24 at the SMX
ConvenƟ on Center in Pasay City.
AFAD spokesperson Alaric "Aric" Topacio expressed the enthusiasm of all parƟ cipaƟ ng members for the
five-day event, wñhich will showcase the finest locally ññ m onally manufactured sporƟ ng firearms
and shooƟ ng products. This year’s ediƟ on takes on heightened significance as the firearms industry braces
for the upcoming gun ban ahead of next year’s midterm naƟ onal elecƟ ons
Senator and fellow gun enthusiast JV Ejercito has been invited as the special guest for the opening
ceremony on November 20.
While gun dealers can conƟ nue operaƟ ng during the gun ban, Topacio admiƩ ed that sales typically
experience a slump during this period as buyers grow hesitant due to uncertainƟ es in processing required
documents.
