Light Network goes Digital!

Light Network channel 33 is achieving greater innovation as it begins its official broadcast on Digital Television this coming March 2017! Through this exciting breakthrough, viewers in Mega Manila will soon be able to experience a clearer and highly-improved video and sound quality of Light Network in their televisions. Once official broadcast begins, people can now watch Light Network anytime and anywhere because not only will the channel be available on digital boxes and digital-ready televisions, but it could also be accessed through handheld devices such as tablets, smartphones and other gadgets.

The “digitalization” is the process of converting our current Analog Television broadcasting into Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT), which simply means that our existing television technology will be transformed into an upgraded, higher quality of broadcast system. Through this digital improvement, Light Network will soon be available on multiple digital viewing platforms—broadening its horizon among the television programming sphere.

In an interview with Engr. Antonio Soriano, the Vice President of Technical Operations for Light Network, he said that he is excited for the upcoming Digitalization of Light Network, because the channel had long since been prepared for this huge digital switchover. “Tayo ang unang nag-convert from Analog to Digital transmitter. Wala nang test -broadcast. Official broadcast na agad.” He also said that not all channels are ready to make the digital “switch”, making Light Network the first channel in the  Philippines to migrate to the exciting domain of Digital TV, while maintaining its frequency on Channel 33.

According to the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC), once the innovative technology of Digitalization is fully implemented, it would not only deliver better image and sound quality to our television channels, but it would also be able to provide features such as datacasting, multi-channel platform, One Seg, and most importantly, the Emergency Warning Broadcast System (EWBS), which is used to transmit nationwide warning announcements in times of earthquakes, tsunamis, or other high-alert disasters.

Engr. Antonio Soriano further stated that these features are just few of the many benefits of Digital TV. According to him, through the other upcoming advancements in Digitalization, television will finally regain its essential standing in the lives of people, as compared to the rising media usage for mobile devices. “Yes. Nick Vujicic for the Second Time here in the Philippines!

For the second time around, world renowned motivational speaker Nick Vujicic visits Manila last July 29, 2016

Nicholas James “Nick” Vujicic (/ˈvujitʃitʃ/ voo-yee-cheech; Serbian pronunciation: [ʋûjitʃitɕ]); born 4 December 1982) is an Australian Christian evangelist and motivational speaker born with Phocomelia, a rare disorder characterised by the absence of legs and arms. As a child, he struggled mentally and emotionally as well as physically, but eventually came to terms with his disability.

As expected, his visit here is not only very inspirational and revealing as well. Talking about "Limitless Possibilities" as he is the living testament of the phrase. He gave his life story and how he became the known personality that he is even before his popularity spread online.

Unexpectedly, his sign of being a motivational speaker didn't came from his parents  but from his his own high school, a 61-year-old janitor from India named Arnold that told him, “Nick, you’re gonna be a speaker. You need to speak to the students at lunch. You have a story to tell.”, and after 3 hours of debating about whether he can do it or not he finally got convinced that he can do it and so he started with a few students at school when he was younger until he grown up and started to call colleges and universities to speak for them. He told all the possible failures that someone like him had encountered when he was starting and how he became successful. Today, Nick gets about 100 invitations a week and has received 35,000 invitations to date. And so Nick Araneta: “If you fail, are you a failure? How many times are you willing to try? Is it okay to fail? Does everyone fail? Is it okay to try again?

Not like everyone taught that he had all the support from the government but he didn't, he worked hard for it and eventually got a scholarship out from his perseverance. His life story is definitely not all about success but rather the opposite, he failed and failed so many times that he became tougher as a person as his faith as equally strong, his desire to have arms and legs that he almost committed suicide in the process but he didn't gave up. There are so many challenges in life that we think we cannot overcome but hey aren't we still trying and surviving in the process. His presence alone is already encouraging so much more on the lessons he impart that day. I can't discuss all as good as he does but I are some phrases that I think had a big impact in me:

How I Find "Finding Dory"

“Finding Dory,” Pixar and Disney’s double-dip back flip into the same animated pool of undersea beings that propelled 2003’s wondrously endearing “Finding Nemo”

Having the same plot current as before except to the Pacific Coast of California instead of the Great Barrier Reef of Australia, I find it equally entertaining and funny aside from the obvious cuteness that it brings. It showed how the Young Dory was wherein she always boil down on telling the other fish that she suffers from short term memory loss. You will like Hank the Octupus friend of Dory that plays a vital role on the adventures of Dory in California. Of course Nemo and his Dad Marlin plays a bit role as well for helping out Dory.

We all know that Dory can 'Whale Speak' so you will also like Destiny's role the whale shark in the movie that happens to be Dory's childhood friend. Have fun on watching Dory's childhood and brilliance in the her movie. Find out where she got the "Just Keep Swimming" song.

I guess that's what I can say for now, I'm not really pretty good at doing movie reviews but I'll try my best on improving on that for my future write ups.
