HEAVYWEIGHT GOLD ON THE LINE AS VADIM NEMKOV DEFENDS HIS PFL WORLD TITLE AGAINST SERGEI BILOSTENNIY AT PFL DUBAI

NEW YORK (September 7, 2026) - The Professional Fighters League (PFL) today announced the PFL Heavyweight World Champion Vadim Nemkov (20-2) will look to defend his title at PFL Dubai on Saturday November 14 against #3-Sergei Bilostenniy (15-4) in Coca-Cola Arena. The event marks the first card in Dubai since the merger with Most Valuable Promotions (MVP), continuing the promise of delivering world class MMA and boxing shows worldwide.  

The highly anticipated return to the emirates is a part of a cooperation agreement between the Dubai Sports Council, the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), and PFL, further underlining the city’s reputation as a host destination for world-class sporting events, and a hub for MMA. 

Pre-sale tickets for PFL Dubai are on-sale now, with general sale tickets available from 12:00pm GST Tuesday, September 8, via pfl.info/dubai.  

The #2 pound-for-pound fighter in PFL, Nemkov is the protégé of MMA heavyweight legend Fedor Emelianenko, and he carries that legacy with him every time the cage door closes. A four-time Combat Sambo champion and undefeated for the past decade, the former Bellator Light Heavyweight Champion moved up to heavyweight in 2024 and claimed PFL gold last December. Athletic, dangerous, stoic, the Russian has half of his wins via KO/TKO and six by submission, with all three heavyweight bouts ending via chokes, he intends to remind the world why he’s regarded as one of the best fighters in PFL. 

Opposite him stands no.3 ranked heavyweight Bilostenniy, 4-1 since joining PFL, whose highlight reel of a spinning head kick KO and a heel hook shows his devastating versatility in the cage. Bilostenniy also fights under the Team Fedor banner, training out of the Moscow gym affiliation, and has previously shared training camps with Nemkov. With finishes over Karl Williams, Tyrell Fortune and former PFL Champion Renan Ferreira, he is looking to show his main event counterpart in Dubai that he is equipped to challenge him everywhere, take the PFL Heavyweight Championship gold, and officially declare himself as the best fighter under the Emelianenko banner at Coca-Cola Arena on November 14.

In the main event of the PFL Champions Series Road to Dubai: Cape Town card, the PFL Middleweight World Championship is up for grabs, as defending champion Johnny “Pressure” Eblen (16-0) of the United States faces challenger Spain’s Costello “The Spaniard” Van Steenis (16-3). Eblen weighed in at 185.0 pounds, while Van Steenis weighed in at 184.6 pounds.

Eduard Folayang Inaugurates New Training Facility, Announces Formation Of Lions Nation MMA With Longtime Teammates

Eduard “Landslide” Folayang has taken a leap forward in his illustrious mixed martial arts (MMA) career.

Stepping beyond the confines of the Circle, the two-time ONE Lightweight World Champion has embarked on a noble endeavor to share his expertise and passion for the sport by opening the Landslide Martial Arts Training Center in La Trinidad, Benguet.

He held its inauguration on Saturday, June 24, with the gym placing a strong emphasis on character development and personal growth apart from the physical aspects of combat sports training.

“We don't just train fighters; we unleash greatness within individuals. It's not about the punches thrown or the techniques mastered, but rather the transformative journey that occurs when you push beyond your limits, conquer your fears, and discover the champion’s attitude within,” Folayang said.

“This is not just a place to train, but a sanctuary where dreams are realized and legacies are born.”

Folayang’s brand-new gym provides a comprehensive space for training, complete with a miniature cage for MMA scrimmages, a dedicated area for grappling drills, and an assortment of punching bags.

Recognizing the importance of recovery and relaxation, the facility also includes a sauna room.

“The vision of our new gym is to provide a holistic and complete training experience for every individual,” the 39-year-old Baguio City native shared.

During its opening ceremony, Folayang unveiled that the Landslide Martial Arts Training Center will be the base of operations of Lions Nation MMA, the stable that he has founded alongside longtime teammates Kevin “The Silencer” Belingon, Honorio “The Rock” Banario, and Joshua “The Passion” Pacio.

Joining them on the team are Edward “The Ferocious” Kelly and Jeremy “The Juggernaut” Pacatiw, as well as a cluster of up-and-comers such as Estrada Donga-as, Denver Songaben, Aaron Posawen, and Jahn Serbo.

Lions Nation MMA will be having Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt Gibran Langbayan and striking coach Don-Don Colas as their in-house trainers.

Belingon, the former ONE Bantamweight World Champion, is ecstatic about the bright future that awaits them as a group.
