Kuala Lumpur, 3 May 2019 – The International Data Corporation (IDC) has announced the latest results of the worldwide Q1 2019 smartphone shipments recently. China smartphone brand Vivo has been reported as one of the Top 5 smartphone brands with the biggest shipment for the first quarter of 2019. Overall, total shipment of smartphones in Q1 2019 has decreased from 332.7 million to 310.8 million worldwide.
According to the IDC report, “Vivo was another vendor at the top of the market that was able to grow shipments in 1Q19 with volumes up 24.0% over 1Q18.” It was also reported that, Vivo has a 23.2 million shipment volumes in Q1 2019 and they maintain their growth in a 24% year-over-year change.
Smartphone shipments dropped 6.6% over the first quarter of 2018 while Vivo is still one of the brands whom have increased their shipment steadily compared with Q1 2018 results.
