Sun Life Lights Up Boracay with Brighter Holidays
MANILA, PH – December 2025 – Sun Life Philippines has officially ushered in the festive season with its Brighter Holidays campaign, turning Boracay Island into a radiant holiday destination. The celebration began with a tree lighting ceremony that illuminated Laketown with a dazzling Christmas tree.
As part of the activation, Sun Life-branded paraws cruise along the Boracay coastline, while on land, Sun Life’s parols that symbolize hope and togetherness can be found all over the island. These activities showcase Sun Life’s dedication to sparking hope and fresh beginnings, empowering every Filipino to embrace the season as they pursue brighter financial and health goals for the future.
To make the holidays brighter for more Filipinos, Sun Life has partnered with the NVC Foundation to support its Mingo Meals Nutrition Program, with Sun Life advisors pledging their commitment to this meaningful cause. This will provide a month’s worth of nutritious meals to undernourished children from the Ati Community in Boracay.
The festivities will culminate on December 31 with Boracay's official New Year’s Eve Countdown at Station 2 Beachfront, Boracay. Guests can enjoy live music, raffle prizes, and more activities starting at 10:00PM. Everyone is invited to join this unforgettable celebration and welcome 2026 under the stars.
Bringing more excitement to the celebration, Sun Life is inviting guests to spot its Christmas tree, paraws, and parols, and join the #SunLifeBrighterHolidays social media promo. Just post a photo or reel on Facebook or TikTok, tag @sunlifeph, use the hashtag #SunLifeBrighterHolidays, and make the post public for a chance to win VIP tickets to BAGETS: The Musical, a Garmin smart watch, or e-gift certificates. “Boracay is a beloved destination for Filipinos and visitors alike, and we’re excited to bring the joyous spirit of the holidays to the island,” said Carla Gonzalez-Chong, Chief Client Experience and Marketing Officer of Sun Life Philippines. “As we celebrate Brighter Holidays in Boracay, we reaffirm Sun Life’s promise to help Filipinos build a brighter future.”

The event gathered members, partners, and industry leaders for a spirited celebration inspired by a nostalgic 90’s Neon Theme.
Hosted by Denice Sy, CCIP’s current vice president for information, publication & public affairs, and Julius Datul of CCT Chemicals, the evening featured key organizational updates, fellowship, and recognition of the Chamber’s continued progress.

During the GMM, CCIP presented the 2025 President’s Report, outlining the Chamber’s milestone activities, advocacy achievements, and capacity-building initiatives throughout the year. The culmination of the program was the proclamation of the newly elected CCIP 2026 Board of Trustees.
Here are the newly elected CCIP 2026 Board of Trustees - Jacqueline Lim (First Asia Manufacturing Corp), Dr. Janina Gutierrez-Tan (JRadiance Corp), Denice Sy (Ever Bilena Cosmetics, Inc.), Dr. Ron Leonard Dy (Marklene Fabricate Corporation), Dennies Ladia (Environatural Corporation), Maricar Lopez (Caldic Philippines, Inc.), Ian George Tee (Bestpak Packaging Solutions, Inc.), and Eileen Ng (Pure Essentials Specialist Corp.) together with the current trustees - Monina Ferrer (Snoe Beaute Produits, Inc.), Rosario Nery (CCT Chemicals Inc.), Maria Roberta Estacion (Harem, Inc.), Michael Zotomayer (Zlab International Corp.), Jellie Marie Villamor (GT Cosmetics Manufacturing Inc.), John Robinson Uy (Unilever Philippines Inc.) and Ramon Claridad (Rainiers Research & Development Institute, Inc.).
Election of the 2026 President
Towards the end of the program, the outgoing Executive Committee announced that while the Board will elect the new officer positions before the year ends, they have already voted Dr. Janina Gutierrez-Tan as the CCIP President-elect for 2026–2027.
In a symbolic moment on stage, past presidents and esteemed members Silliman Sy, Emil Virtudes, and Anna Marie Anastacio joined Dr. Gutierrez-Tan to congratulate her on her appointment and welcome her upcoming leadership.
Message from President-Elect Dr. Janina Gutierrez-Tan
In her closing remarks, Dr. Gutierrez-Tan expressed gratitude and reaffirmed her commitment to serving the Chamber. She emphasized the importance of strengthening industry capabilities and expanding opportunities for CCIP members.
She stated, “I am truly honored by the trust the Chamber has placed in me. As we step into 2026 and 2027, I remain committed to building programs that uplift our members, strengthen our industry capabilities, and open meaningful avenues for growth. Thank you for your support through 2025. I look forward to serving you even more in the years ahead.”
A Celebration of Community and Collaboration
The 90’s neon-themed Year-End Party highlighted CCIP’s vibrant and evolving community. The event served not only as a celebration of accomplishments but also as a reaffirmation of the Chamber’s direction toward a more dynamic, modern, and inclusive future in the Philippine beauty and personal care industry.
