Hillary Clinton, Madeleine Albright & Colin Powell Guest Star on the Fifth Season Premiere of Madam Secretary

Fans of Sony Channel’s political series, Madam Secretary, will be in for a treat with the guest appearances of former secretaries of state Hillary Clinton, Madeleine Albright and General Colin Powell in the fifth season premiere that airs Monday, October 8 at 9pm.

In this unprecedented episode, Secretary of State Elizabeth McCord, played by award-winning actress Téa Leoni, turns to the former real-life secretaries of state to ask their advice on how best to respond to a delicate situation.

“We’re delighted to have these three former secretaries of state be part of our season premiere,” said Barbara Hall, Executive Producer and Series Creator. “It was a privilege to experience their perspectives and discourse both in and behind the scenes.”

Madeleine Albright, the first woman to become Secretary of State, held the position from 1997 to 2001 under President Bill Clinton. General Colin Powell served as Secretary of State from 2001 until 2005 under President George Bush. Hillary Clinton served as Secretary of State from 2009 until 2013 under President Barack Obama.

It’s a Hit to Get Fit at the Sony Fit Fest

Fitness enthusiasts of all ages spent their weekend joining the active lifestyle movement at the Sony Fit Fest held last Saturday at the SMX Aura Convention Center.

Catering to all interests and fitness levels, the inaugural event featured a variety of classes such as glow-in-the-dark yoga, 80’s & 90’s music-themed Zumba, mixed martial arts and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu as well as a series of physical challenges.

“Exercise keeps our minds and bodies healthy so we’re thrilled that Sony Channel could offer a dynamic platform for fitness enthusiasts to get together in a fun and social way. AXN Brings Back All the Drama and the Action with Two Returning Series this July

This July, nonstop drama and action return with the all new seasons of two top-rated crime drama series – NCIS: Los Angeles and Blue Bloods.

NCIS: Los Angeles Season 9

The Naval Criminal Investigation Service’s Office of Special Projects takes on more undercover work and hard-to-crack cases in Los Angeles. Special agents G. Callen (Chris O’Donnell) and Sam Hanna (LL Cool J) lead their elite team of undercover operatives as they continue to fight the most dangerous criminals the city has ever seen.

Season 9 opens with the team sensing that Hetty (Linda Hunt) must be up to something covert after she turns in her retirement papers and disappears. Executive Assistant Director Shay Mosley (Nia Long) comes to Los Angeles to oversee the team and makes staffing changes. Immediately, she develops issues with Callen and company. Also, Sam insists that Callen find a new partner.

Blue Bloods Season 8

The Reagans, NYPD’s First Family of Law Enforcement, are back in the limelight as they passionately defend New York City from lawless elements.

In the new season, Danny (Donnie Wahlberg) is thinking of retiring after the death of his wife Linda in a rescue helicopter crash. But Erin (Bridget Moynahan) pleads with him to help her with a case that involves her ex-husband, Jack (Peter Hermann), who has been attacked in his office. Jamie (Will Estes) and partner Eddie (Vanessa Ray) go undercover as a couple to bust a shady drug dealer.

Meanwhile, Frank (Tom Selleck) protects one of his own as he clashes with the new mayor, Margaret Dutton (Lorraine Bracco), when he refused to release the disciplinary record of the police officer involved in the shooting of an unarmed woman shoplifter.
