Strength in Action Toward a Dengue-Free Future

Manila, Philippines, 30 September 2025 – With the recent resurgence of dengue cases in the Philippines3, there are simple, daily steps Filipinos can take at home to help curb the spread of the disease. Mosquitoes can breed as fast as 24 to 48 hours, even in ¼ inch of stagnant water, about the amount found in a bottle cap¹. This small amount is enough to become a breeding site or disease-carrying mosquitoes, reinforcing the importance of vigilance with daily dengue prevention especially during the rainy season.
To further educate, SC Johnson, maker of Baygon® and OFF!®, has launched Mission: TAPOSible, a nationwide movement anchored on the Department of Health’s 5S strategy. The campaign helps empower families to pledge and take action to protect their homes and communities from dengue.
The Stories Behind the Numbers
Dengue remains a health concern affecting communities across the Philippines where frequent rainfall and tropical conditions contribute to year-round transmission. In fact, early this year, the Department of Health (DOH) reported a 78% increase in dengue cases, jumping from 42,822 in the first quarter of 2024 to 76,425 in the same period this year2. Between July and August alone, another 15,161 cases were recorded3, further reflecting the impact of persistent rainy weather, which creates ideal breeding grounds for mosquitoes.
These increases underscore the impact that disease has on Filipino families. Among them is Mafe Cabreros, a mother of two, who was hospitalized after contracting dengue while five months pregnant with her youngest child in 2016. The experience made her more aware of the importance of taking consistent steps from spraying mosquito repellent to lighting coils to help protect her children every day.
For families like Mafe’s, dengue is more than just a health statistic. It is a persistent reality that alters everyday moments, especially when a loved ones’ safety is at risk. But having accessible solutions help turn dengue prevention into a daily routine.
A Movement Backed by Science and Heart
Although dengue is endemic in the Philippines, a report indicates that only 20% of Filipinos regularly use pest-control products4.  While dengue isn’t directly contagious, it spreads when mosquitoes carry the virus from one person to another. This is why helping protect each family member including educating them on dengue prevention is important, as every layer of defense helps reduce the risk of transmission.
Simple, consistent actions such as applying insect repellent, using aerosol sprays or coils, and regularly cleaning areas where mosquitoes can breed can help protect not only oneself but also others from mosquito bites that may transmit dengue. Baygon® & OFF!® are committed to developing accessible and effective products that support public health and provide households with the tools and knowledge needed for dengue prevention.
Educating the Young, Empowering the Home
Beyond helping to empower households with accessible products, SC Johnson also collaborates with schools and communities to help translate awareness into daily protective habits that strengthen household protection. One partner, Maximo Estrella Elementary School, integrates dengue prevention into parent orientations and provides students with dengue kits as daily reminders to stay protected.
“We ask the parents of the kindergarten and Grade 1 pupils, since they are new in school, to attend an orientation. We need to educate the parents so that they can teach their children at home,” shares Mirra L. Alvarez, Principal, Maximo Estrella Elementary School.
Anchored in the 5S Strategy
Consistent protection is more than just a precaution, it is an act of care for your household and community. That is why Mission: TAPOSible embraces the Department of Health’s 5S strategy in fighting against dengue, helping empower families to adopt small, consistent habits that drive big impact in dengue prevention. The strategy outlines five simple steps that every Filipino can integrate into daily routines:
  • Search and Destroy – Remove standing water in containers, pots, cans, and bottles where mosquitoes breed.
  • Self-Protection – Use repellents (like OFF!®), wear long sleeves and pants, and keep sprays or coils (like Baygon®) ready at home.
  • Seek Early Consultation – If you have fever, headaches, or body pain, see a doctor right away.
  • Say Yes to Fogging – Support community fogging when advised by local health officials.
  • Sustaining Hydration – Drink plenty of water to prevent dehydration, especially if you’re sick.

By turning these small, proactive steps into everyday habits, Filipino families can build a stronger defense against dengue.
Join Mission: TAPOSible Today
Don’t wait until it’s too late, pledge now and help be part of the nationwide movement. Sign up at https://missiontaposible.com and join thousands of Filipinos who are already taking action. Every pledge strengthens our collective commitment for dengue-protected families and communities.
By entering their name, email, and province, participants can commit to simple, consistent efforts that keep homes and communities safe from dengue. Participants will also receive a special discount code for Baygon® and OFF!® products to help keep their families protected anytime, anywhere.
True protection doesn’t come from a single moment. It grows from routines, from shared action, from the love shown every day. Together, every Filipino household can turn dengue prevention from a public health message into a national movement; one household, one habit, one pledge at a time [END].

As I step aside, I am confident the Bank is well-positioned to continue its momentum and achieve even greater success in the years ahead.”

Mr. Lee adds: “I’m honored to be entrusted with this responsibility. Security Bank has built a strong reputation for customer-centricity, innovation, and its distinct BetterBanking experience. AIA Philippines, Anytime Fitness partner to expand Vitality and broaden access to wellness

MANILA, Philippines – AIA Philippines has expanded its flagship wellness program, AIA Vitality, through a new partnership with Anytime Fitness, giving Vitality members access to exclusive discounts at all Anytime Fitness locations across the country. The announcement of this new partnership coincides with AIA Vitality’s 10th year in the country, and is just one of many enhancements AIA is launching to mark this milestone.

Through this partnership, AIA Vitality members enjoy an exclusive 15% discount on 12-month Anytime Fitness memberships and earn 100 Vitality Points per gym visit. These points contribute to unlocking higher membership tiers within the program, and can enable members to earn increased insurance coverage, as well as other rewards such as e-vouchers and partner offers, encouraging members to incorporate physical activity into daily routines and build lasting healthy habits.

AIA Philippines’ Rethink Healthy study, which surveyed over 1,000 Filipinos nationwide, found that while most respondents define health beyond physical, challenges like financial stress, lack of rest, and the challenge of sustaining healthy habits remain widespread. AIA Vitality helps close these gaps by guiding members toward a more holistic approach to wellness, encouraging small, consistent actions and rewarding healthier choices across physical, mental, financial and environmental well-being.

Melissa Henson, Chief Marketing Officer of AIA Philippines, said, “The Rethink Healthy study confirmed that Filipinos want to be more active but face barriers in sustaining holistic wellness habits. This partnership with Anytime Fitness makes building healthy habits more accessible to our customers. In addition, their integration in our AIA Vitality program also makes visiting their gyms rewarding. Anytime Fitness’ nationwide presence and 24/7 accessibility perfectly complement AIA Vitality’s goal of integrating health into everyday life. As we mark a decade of AIA Vitality, we remain committed to evolving the program to meet the needs of our members and, more broadly, the Filipinos we serve.”

AIA Vitality is a science-backed wellness program that encourages members to make healthier choices by rewarding them with increased insurance coverage and other rewards. Members earn points for activities such as exercising, undergoing health checks, sleeping better and meeting nutrition goals.

Mark De Joya, COO of Inspire Brands Asia, the exclusive master franchisee for Anytime Fitness across Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Thailand, Taiwan, and Vietnam, emphasized the shared vision between the brands, “Anytime Fitness is proud to operate over 5,600 clubs worldwide, including almost 200 here in the Philippines. Less than 1% of people in the region currently have a fitness membership, which shows how much potential there is to make wellness accessible. Partnering with AIA Vitality allows us to take our purpose seriously at both a personal and community level, helping more Filipinos prioritize their health every day while creating meaningful impact together.”
By integrating Anytime Fitness into its health ecosystem and guided by Rethink Healthy insights, AIA Philippines positions AIA Vitality at the intersection of insurance, technology, and healthy lifestyle. The partnership directly addresses cost and access barriers, empowering more people to actively rethink what healthy means, and embrace a truly holistic, sustainable approach to well-being.

AIA Vitality also offers new ways for members to earn points and access health resources. Members can now earn points for reaching just 5,000 steps in a day, with higher activity levels translating to greater rewards. Members can earn more points by using the app’s face scan function to regularly monitor and record health measures such as pulse rate, blood pressure and stress level. New Vitality members can receive an eGift voucher for linking a fitness device or app with Vitality for the first time, and earning their first fitness points.

In addition, a new wellness hub within the AIA Vitality app serves as a dedicated resource center, offering expert videos, practical guides, and health tips to help members better understand their progress and maximize their wellness journey. The Hub is intended as an always-available companion, providing members with personalized support and actionable insights to make healthier living a daily habit.

McDonald’s Philippines, Davao City Partner to Employ Senior Citizens

McDonald’s Philippines is set to hire at least 110 senior citizens for 18 of its stores in Davao City, as part of the company’s inclusive hiring program M For All, which aims to employ senior citizens and persons with disability (PWD). The program will run from October 2025 to December 2026.

The quick service restaurant (QSR) giant recently signed a memorandum of agreement with the Davao City Government, together with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and its Public Service Employment Office (PESO).

A welcoming and inclusive workplace for seniors

As McDonald’s Philippines continues to scale and open more stores across the country, there is also an increasing demand for a dynamic workforce. And while a big percentage of McDonald’s talent pool are working students and fresh graduates—the Gen Z—the company also strongly believes in providing employment opportunities for individuals in their 60s and beyond.

M for All is part of McDonald’s Philippines’ people practices, providing its staff with job security, an inclusive workplace, and a world-class training and development program. Since Chairman and Master Franchise Holder Dr. George T. Yang opened the first store in Manila in 1981, McDonald’s Philippines has practiced direct employment and non-contractualization, providing job security for its over 65,000 workforce.

“McDonald’s Philippines is committed to generating employment opportunities for Filipinos, regardless of their age, gender, and background. Our inclusive workplace is a welcoming environment not just for working students and working-age individuals, but also out-of-school youth, persons with disabilities, and through this partnership, senior citizens. We’re excited to partner with Davao City for the M For All  Program, and we’re looking forward to more opportunities for collaboration and partnership that will benefit the people and communities.” ~Adi Hernandez, Assistant Vice President for Corporate Relations and Impact

Since its launch in 2019, M For All (formerly Alternative Workforce Program)  has been employing senior citizens in its stores. This 2025, the program has been relaunched and implemented in the City of Manila, Pasay City, Caloocan City, ParaƱaque City, Pasig City, San Fernando City in Pampanga, and Bacoor, Cavite, covering 61 company-owned and franchise stores.

M For All is McDonald’s Philippines’ first partnership program with Davao City, and is the first activation outside Luzon. The program will also be launched in partnership with other LGUs in Luzon and Visayas in the coming months.

Under the M For All program, each qualified applicant is engaged over a period of five months, reporting for work four hours a day, five days a week. Each applicant is assigned at the store lobby area, interacting with guests and customers, presenting their orders and drinks, and managing the tables. Aside from receiving government-mandated wages (which also include a percentage of the mandated 13th-month pay), they are also covered by a group life insurance paid for by the company.

Thirty years in Davao City

The beloved QSR has been committed not just to providing feel-good experiences to its customers, but has also been making a difference in the lives of the people it employs and the communities it serves.

In Davao City alone, over 2,000 store managers and service crew are finding their Best Me at the 22 McDonald’s stores in the city, helping generate employment for residents of the city and nearby areas while also contributing to local economic growth.

Said Hernandez: “Since opening our first store in Davao City in the 1990s, McDonald’s Philippines has seen impressive growth and development in the city. For over 30 years, McDonald’s has seen families create feel-good memories, employees develop into the best versions of themselves, and the entire Davao City become stronger and more progressive.”

Last July, the 800th McDonald’s store was launched at Davao Global Township, the first “Green & Good” store in Mindanao. As a Green & Good store, McDonald’s Davao Global Township features solar panels, rainwater harvesting tanks, power-saving motion sensors, LED lights, and efficient air-conditioning systems. These features significantly reduce energy consumption as well as the use of natural resources.

Green & Good also promotes a more environmentally conscious lifestyle. The Davao Global Township store has bike-friendly features, which attracts not just serious cyclists but also biking beginners and enthusiasts.

Millennials and Gen Zs Prioritize Health, Purpose, and Financial Independence, But Health and Wellness Gaps Persist - New Manulife Philippines Study Finds

MANILA, Philippines – While millennials and Gen Zs in the Philippines are reshaping what it means to live well and live long, significant gaps between awareness and action jeopardize their health, wellness, and longevity aspirations, a new study by Manulife Philippines has found.

According to “#FYP: Future-proofing Young Pinoys: Examining Health and Longevity Perspectives, Sentiments, and Aspirations of Millennials and Gen Zs,” which was conducted among 500 respondents across the Philippines, younger Filipinos are placing greater emphasis on healthspan, purpose, and financial independence. However, the study also revealed that while 83% of young respondents have good knowledge about health and wellness, only 76% say they are taking sufficient action to consistently practice healthy habits.

“With a median age of 26.1, the Philippines has one of the youngest populations in Asia. Our latest study highlights the need to support younger generations in translating their health, wellness, and longevity aspirations into meaningful action. We found that millennials and Gen Zs are motivated to live healthier lives, but barriers like stress, excessive screen time, and sleep deprivation, among many others are holding them back from achieving this goal,” said Rahul Hora, President and Chief Executive Officer, Manulife Philippines.

Motivated to be healthy, but stress gets in the way; Millennial women among the most affected

The study found that millennials and Gen Zs are not short of motivation to pursue their health and wellness goals. While 64% said they are pursuing health to avoid getting sick, and 44% said they want to minimize potential medical expenses, many are equally driven by their personal well-being and self-image about feeling and looking good: 44% said they want to look good or fit, and 43% said they want to look youthful.

Younger Filipinos, especially women, are also putting more focus on healthspan, or the number of the years we live healthily, over lifespan. According to the survey, 60% of female respondents prefer to prolong their healthspans, while 53% of males prefer to prolong their lifespans.
Filipino millennials and Gen Zs face notable health and wellness gaps, from monitoring to their actual wellness behaviors:

- Young Filipinos show significant gaps in health monitoring (awareness vs what they actually monitor), particularly in mobility (24%), nutrition (23%), and cholesterol levels (20%). Gender differences are evident, with young women struggling more with nutritional monitoring (27%) and young men facing greater challenges in mobility monitoring (28%).
- Many young Filipinos find it difficult to consistently maintain healthy sleeping habits (20%), achieve work-life balance (19%), and follow a balanced diet (15%). Women report a larger gap in achieving work-life balance at 22%, compared to the 15% gap among men.
- Stress is the most prominent barrier to wellness, affecting 64% of respondents. Millennials report higher stress levels than Gen Zs (69% vs. 58%), and women are more affected than men (73% vs. 55%). Notably, 76% of millennial women say stress prevents them from pursuing their desired wellbeing—the highest among all generational and gender groups.
- Modern lifestyle habits further compound these issues, with excessive screen time impacting 48% and sleep deprivation affecting 45% of young Filipinos. Trends such as “bedrotting” and “doomscrolling” reflect how contemporary behaviors are undermining their wellness goals.
“We’re seeing that for young Filipinos, intent alone isn’t sufficient. While many are motivated to pursue healthier lives, they’re facing a complex mix of stressors and lifestyle gaps, which make it difficult to follow through. These habits quietly derail their ability to prioritize wellness. That’s why the next step is to find ways to embed wellness into their daily routine. By offering health and wellness-focused programs and collaborations with likeminded partners, we are helping them bridge the gap between intention and action, turning wellness goals into sustainable, everyday behaviors supporting their long-term health and longevity aspirations,” added Hora.

Younger Filipinos view age positively and prioritize attaining purpose and living independently than being illness-free

According to the study, 96% of millennials and Gen Zs surveyed believe aging is a natural process that should be embraced with positivity, while 91% of the respondents believe that living a meaningful life is more important than living a long one. The study revealed a striking perspective on aging priorities, with 83% of respondents believing that living independently and being able to do things that matter most to them is more important than being illness-free.

Millennials surveyed focus more on physical health and family relationships as they age. Gen Zs, on the other hand, lean toward self-discovery, purpose, and making an impact. Only 13% of both generations consider maximizing lifespan as a top priority, with men showing slightly higher interest (17%) compared to women (8%).

“The findings reveal that young Filipinos see aging not as decline, but as a chance to live with purpose and independence,” Hora said. “It is therefore crucial that we create opportunities and support systems for them to live better at every stage of their lives. This means investing in holistic wellness programs, accessible financial health education, as well as tools that address both physical and mental needs, tailored especially for younger generations navigating various stressors of the modern world.”

“As one of the country’s longest-serving insurers, Manulife Philippines is deeply committed to supporting younger generations of Filipinos in their journey toward financial independence and longevity. Through our innovative insurance and investment solutions, and our nationwide network of over 10,000 professional financial advisors, we aim to empower millennials and Gen Zs to live fuller, healthier lives with purpose and confidence as they age,” said Hora.
Financial independence: Younger Filipinos’ ultimate longevity concern

When it comes to living a longer life but also “adding life to years,” financial security tops the list of concerns for both generations. Among the respondents, 74% believe that longevity is a blessing only if they have sufficient financial resources, with running out of money being their greatest worry (61%). Millennials and Gen Zs agree that mental health is a top longevity concern (36% and 47%, respectively). Millennials surveyed are more concerned about keeping ties with children (37%), while Gen Zs are more concerned about living their desired lifestyle (39%).

Gaining financial independence is also a top longevity priority for young Filipinos (52%), followed by family relationships (36%) and physical health (33%). Women, however, prioritize financial independence significantly more than men (60% vs. 44%). This gender gap reflects broader structural realities women face in the Philippines. Despite having longer life expectancies (69.9 vs 63.4), women have lower labor force participation (52.9% vs 76.3%) and are prone to career interruptions due to family and caregiving responsibilities. These factors make financial independence especially urgent for women, who must plan for longer retirement years with potentially fewer financial opportunities.

Financial planning remains one of the many challenges the youth face. Gen Zs surveyed estimate needing PHP22.3 million to achieve financial independence upon retirement, while millennials estimate PHP18.4 million. Yet only 20% of respondents have very high confidence in achieving these goals. Despite the challenges, young Filipinos take proactive steps. Among those who prioritize financial independence, 65% save part of their income, 45% purchase insurance, and 43% actively broaden their financial knowledge. However, 68% admit that sustaining investments remains difficult.

“It’s encouraging to see today’s younger generations starting to take more proactive steps toward financial planning. We’re seeing a shift in mindset, where millennials and Gen Zs are actively saving, purchasing insurance, and expanding their financial literacy. These are promising signs,” said Aira Gaspar, President and Chief Executive Officer, Manulife Investments Philippines

“The key now is to help them bridge the gap between intention and sustained action, through accessible, flexible investment strategies that evolve with their life stages, financial capabilities, and aspirations. By enabling them with the right tools and guidance, we can help turn financial independence into a tangible, achievable reality for our younger customers in the Philippines,” added Gaspar.

Filipino Street Dancer Takes the Global Stage at Red Bull Dance Your Style World Finals in LA

MANILA, PHILIPPINES – After a hard-fought win at the Red Bull Dance Your Style National Finals last May, Cebuana street dancer Sam Rivera known in battles as ‘Nemesis’, is set to represent the Philippines, showcasing Filipino flair, rhythm, and freestyle creativity at the Red Bull Dance Your Style 2025 World Finals happening on October 11 to 12 at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, California.

The World Stage Awaits

After months of high-energy dance battles across the globe, the world’s best dancers are converging in Los Angeles for the ultimate one-on-one freestyle showdown. Champions from over 50 countries will bring their unique moves, cultural influences, and raw improvisation skills, creating a competition that’s as unpredictable as it is exciting.

The Philippines’ very own Nemesis is more than ready to face off the top dancers from all over the world, proving Filipinos have what it takes to take on the biggest international stage for street dance.

Training for the Battle
After competing as a Red Bull Dance Your Style National Finalist in 2024, Nemesis returned this year stronger than ever, securing the crown at the 2025 National Finals in her hometown Cebu. Since that milestone win, Nemesis has been getting ready, refining her Krump freestyle, endurance, and stage presence to prepare for the world spotlight.

“This year I’m really in it to win, but I also remind myself to have fun on stage when I’m dancing. Just vibe with the music and trust my body’s instincts,” said Nemesis. “I’m the type of freestyle dancer that doesn’t prepare for sets, I just need to condition my body, relying on muscle-memory, as well as drills, also concepts and ideas to generate movements from there.”

The Filipino finalist also shared how mindset is just as important as physical training: “Readying myself mentally and emotionally for the pressure, because LA is where the best dancers are. But I take it as an opportunity to learn from them.”
On Nemesis' approach for the World Final, she shared, “My goal is still to just give a good performance. So others will see that ‘Wow! This is what dancers in the Philippines are like!’ It depends on the crowd, but as long as you give a good performance, other people will see that you’re amazing.”

Countdown to the Finals in LA
The Red Bull Dance Your Style World Finals will bring together the best of the global street dance scene during the World Finals Week, running from October 7 to 11. The main World Finals competition takes place on October 11 at the Intuit Dome, Los Angeles, where dancers will go head-to-head in freestyle battles, with the twist that the crowd decides who moves forward. Catch the action live on Red bull TV on October 11 at 9 PM (PDT) / October 12 at 12 PM (Philippine time).

Tanduay's Embasssy Whisky: A Quiet Kind of Chill

A Quiet Kind of Chill

There’s something about quiet evenings where the music is turned low, the lights are dimmed just right, and having the easy company of your closest confidantes. No rush, just chill vibes. That’s the kind of energy where the right spirit fits into, not loudly but like it was meant to be there.

One brand in particular has found its way into those moments -- Embassy Whisky. Smooth enough to sip neat and likewise great to mix in a cocktail without losing itself, this Tanduay product has become a quiet favorite among those who value good taste without the noise. No frills and flash, just a well-made pour that feels like it is part of the night and not its centerpiece.

Crafted with Whiskies Aged and Distilled in Scotland

Embassy is the kind of whisky you notice not because it demands attention, but because you realize how effortlessly it fits into your rhythm. One sip and the mood is chill. It opens with a nose of gentle smokiness layered with ripe banana, woody undertones, and subtle hints of peat. On the palate, it carries a smooth, balanced, and light sweet body, revealing flavors of malt, wood, banana, and faint notes of honey and vanilla.

“Embassy Whisky is made by blending neutral grain spirit with whisky that is distilled and aged in Scotland, bottling it at 65 Proof to achieve that light and easy-to-drink profile. The whisky blended into Embassy is made only from malt whiskies matured for at least three years in oak casks to preserve their oak-influenced character and subtle peat notes that root it in Scotch tradition,” said Janno Gironella, head of Tanduay’s Research & Development.

With its relatively light body, sweet and fruity notes, and lower alcohol content at 32.5% alcohol by volume or ABV (standard ABV for whiskies is 40%), it caters to those that want an easy-drinking spirit that can be enjoyed neat, on the rocks, or mixed and those who are trying whisky for the first time.

“You can sip it neat to appreciate its sweet malt, banana, and vanilla notes, or try it on the rocks to mellow the sweetness and bring out more of the woody and mild peat tones. Because of its lighter body and 32.5% ABV, it also works well as a mixing whisky by pairing it with soda water or cola. For those new to whisky, starting with a simple highball (whisky and soda with ice and a citrus juice) would be an ideal way to enjoy Embassy without overwhelming the palate.” Gironella recommended.

A Tribute to the Quiet Strength of the Filipino

The kind of chill that Embassy Whisky brings is something Filipinos embody. It’s the calm confidence that comes from overcoming daily challenges, of steadfastly putting in the hard work despite the obstacles along the way, and celebrating the small wins in the company of the most genuine circle of friends.

“Embassy Whisky is crafted with the hardworking Filipino in mind — a tribute to the people who carry the weight of everyday life with quiet strength. It reflects the spirit of the Philippines: resilient, grounded, and always finding time to share moments of ease,” said Gem Leonard Boy, Brand Manager at Tanduay.

“It brings a sense of comfort and belonging. It is a whisky that welcomes you at the end of the day and makes simple moments feel more deserved,” he added.

Embassy Whisky is a product of Tanduay Distillers, Inc. It is available in stores nationwide and online through www.shots.ph, and its official stores on Shopee and Lazada.

From a Day’s Work to a Family’s Future: Grab and MOVE IT Partners Share How Earnings and Enabling Programs Lift Households

MANILA, PHILIPPINES 26 September 2025 - Across Philippine cities, GrabCar driver-partners, MOVE IT rider-partners, and GrabFood delivery-partners are showing how everyday work can power extraordinary progress. That arc — from hustle to upward mobility — takes center stage in a special episode of Paano Ba ’To: The Podcast, where three partners, joined by their families, trace how viable earnings on the road — paired with enabling programs — are helping them pay for school, steady the household, and invest for the long term.

Three families, three paths to progress
Issei Goto — “You don’t win unless you place a bet.”
A former office worker, Issei left salaried life in 2019 to drive with GrabCar. Within months he scaled from one to four vehicles, helped by GrabFinance Cash Loan with flexible terms aligned to his earnings — turning a leap of faith into stable, higher income for a young family. “Hindi ka mananalo kung hindi ka tataya,” he says, reflecting on that choice.

Marlo Gonzales — A father’s sacrifice, a daughter’s promise.
For MOVE IT rider-partner Marlo, every trip is about his family’s future. His daughter Genille earned a full scholarship through GrabScholar (Wave 3)—covering tuition, supplies, and a monthly allowance—so she can focus fully on school. “Proud po ako sa anak ko,” Marlo shares. Genille adds: “My goal is to give back everything my parents poured into me.”

Fueling Hard Work with Opportunity and Support

- Household stability: Consistent, app-based earnings help families weather shocks—while flexible financing prevents debt spirals.
-;Mobility through education: Scholarships ease the burden of tuition, letting students—and parents—focus on outcomes, not obstacles.
- Pathways to assets: Sensibly structured loans convert income into productive assets (vehicles, rental units) that build resilience over time.

Asenso Programs Shine Through the Stories of Issei, Lilybeth, and Marlo

- GrabFinance Cash Loan: Flexible, earnings-linked financing that gives driver-partners quick access to the lifelines they need to grow and manage their livelihoods.
- GrabScholar: A full-ride scholarship that covers tuition, school supplies, and a monthly allowance for the deserving dependents of Grab and MOVE IT partners — also open to the public for qualified applicants.
- Ka-Grab / Ka-MOVE IT Rewards: Incentive programs that boost take-home pay and celebrate partners who consistently deliver safe, reliable, and high-quality service.

RUEL RELEASES MESMERIZING NEW SONG “WILD GUESS”

Australian pop-sensation Ruel returns with his new track “Wild Guess” available now via Giant Music – Listen HERE“Wild Guess” showcases a raw, stripped-back vulnerability that highlights the emotional depth of Ruel’s evolving sound. The track is co-written by RuelLeroy Clampitt (Justin Bieber, Madison Beer) and Dan Wilson (Adele, Taylor Swift), and produced by the multitalented duo. The track is the latest taste off Ruel’s forthcoming sophomore album Kicking My Feet due October 17, 2025 and will be premiering via New Music Daily on Apple Music, accompanied by a FaceTime interview with Zane Lowe. The album is available for pre-order HERE.

With soft, folk-inspired vocals and bare acoustic textures, “Wild Guess gently captures the slow unraveling of a relationship and the quiet ache of not fully understanding why it ended. “I’m not so sure / but I’m taking a wild guess / you’re slipping away from me,” Ruel sings with acceptance. The track unfolds patiently, mirroring the emotional distance between two people, before arriving at the bittersweet realization in the chorus: “It’s been a wild ride, but I won’t be your baby anymore,” embracing the cold truth that sometimes the best things have to end.

Wild Guess” is the third release off Ruel’s forthcoming record and follows the bluesy “The Suburbs” and lead single “I Can Die Now.” Kicking My Feet marks the start of a new era for Ruel; one that feels creatively liberated, emotionally nuanced, and sonically bolder than ever. After relocating from Sydney to Los Angeles and signing with Giant Music, Ruel immersed himself in a new creative ecosystem and began building the album from the ground up.

I knew I wanted to push myself on this new album, but it wasn’t until I had to finalise the track list that I realised I’d actually made over 200 songs for Kicking My Feet – Ruel

He worked closely with some of the industry’s most celebrated and genre-shaping producers, including Julian Bunetta (Sabrina Carpenter, One Direction), Joel Little (Taylor Swift, Gracie Abrams), Kenny Beats (Dominic Fike, Ed Sheeran), Dan Wilson (Adele, Taylor Swift, Chris Stapleton), and longtime collaborator M-Phazes (Eminem, Kehlani, Ruel’s debut album). Together, they crafted a record that is sonically adventurous and deeply personal, blending pop, alt and R&B, into a cohesive, modern sound. The result is a genre-blurring, emotionally relatable album that reflects Ruel’s evolution as both a person and an artist.

Australia’s pop prodigy Ruel is growing up and it shows on his highly anticipated sophomore album Kicking My Feet, available Oct 17th via Giant Music. Pop’s newest It Boy has been on the rise since he was a teenager, adorning his studio walls are an ever-growing collection of platinum plaques and award statues from the likes of RIAAMTVARIA and Nickelodeon

He has amassed over three billion streams, sold out multiple world tours and regularly attends fashion shows at the invitation of luxury haute couture such as Louis Vuitton and HermĆØs. Away from the runway, Ruel’s admiration for unique, highly conceptualised style can be seen in his editorials with Prada and Fendi, and through his extensive list of features on the pages of VogueGQ, NME and The Face. Around the world, eyes have been keenly watching Ruel’s career ascent; notably by Sir Elton John and Zane Lowe, both of whom have sung the praises of the UK-born, Sydney-raised talent, calling him a "superstar."

Kicking My Feet showcases the 22-year-old’s sharpened songwriting as he explores the innocence and embarrassment of being young and in love, as the album title teases. Alongside frequent collaborator M-Phazes, the album has Ruel expanding his roster of creative partners, including Dan WilsonJoel LittleKenny Beats and Julian Bunetta. The experimentation with his sound and artistry, has Ruel evolving himself into a bolder musician on an unmissable trajectory.

TRUST Wants More for Every Filipino, Unveils New Campaign and Bold Repositioning

MANILA, September 25, 2025 —  TRUST, the commercial brand of DKT Health, Inc., celebrated over three decades of empowering Filipinos with a transformative brand repositioning event at Monarch Manila last September 25, 2025.

The gathering introduced a reimagined brand identity and TRUST’s latest mass media campaign that underscores the brand’s evolution into a more progressive, inclusive, and socially driven brand.

The program opened with remarks from Denise R. van Dijk, President and CEO of DKT Health, Inc., who spoke about TRUST’s journey over the last three decades and its bold step into this new chapter. “For over thirty years, TRUST has been at the forefront of helping Filipinos take charge of their sexual health. Today, we renew that promise with a vision that goes further. Our new identity shows not just a change in look, but a deeper commitment to normalize conversations and ensure that every choice is respected,” van Dijk said.

“Ang Normal Mo, Normal ‘Yan!” Campaign Takes Center Stage

Anchored on the idea “Ang Normal Mo, Normal ‘Yan!,” this campaign confronts taboos and empowers individuals to embrace their own choices, whether it means pursuing a fulfilling sex life, choosing parenthood on their own terms, or exploring non-traditional relationships. The campaign aims to normalize diverse experiences and break cycles of silence and shame.

To amplify this message, TRUST has also rolled out its nationwide billboards, print, and train ads, as well as radio and TV commercials, now airing and available on the brand’s official YouTube and other social media channels

During the event, the refreshed logo, social enterprise seal, and brand manifesto were also unveiled. The manifesto serves as a declaration of TRUST’s vision for the future, affirming the brand and every Filipino’s desire to want more — more freedom, more knowledge, more security, and more care when it comes to sexual health choices.

The program also celebrated creativity and inclusivity with a spirited performance by Maxie Andreison, brand ambassador and winner of Drag Race Philippines Season 3. She performed her song “Halika Na Lika Na,” which also served as the main track of TRUST’s latest TV commercial, followed by a toast and photo opportunity with executives and guests.

TRUST and DKT as a Social Enterprise
Afterwards, a casual fireside chat and Q&A session was held, which spotlighted insights from Denise R. van Dijk, Maxie Andreison, and Gil Cadiz, Director of Marketing at DKT Health, Inc. Cadiz highlighted TRUST’s role as a social enterprise, explaining how each purchase not only provides protection but also funds free reproductive health products and services for underserved communities. Our goal is to bring light to these sexual and reproductive discussions and make them part of everyday life. With TRUST as a social enterprise, we go beyond being a commercial brand and carry out our advocacy by extending resources and services to fellow Filipinos who need them most,” Cadiz shared.

Guests were invited to take part in an interactive photowall where they wrote down what sexual and reproductive health choices they believe should be normalized in society. This activity, kicked off by Denise R. van Dijk and Maxie Andreison, reinforced the campaign’s message and created space for shared expression.

A Collective Call to Normalize Sexual and Reproductive Health Conversations
As the event closed, TRUST reaffirmed its mission to provide access, education, and protection for all. The brand invites Filipinos to join this shared movement and normalize conversations on sexual and reproductive health.
