Series of Seminars to be Held During National Exporters’ Week

In celebration of this year’s National Exporters' Week (NEW), the Department of Trade and Industry–Export Marketing Bureau (DTI-EMB) will hold “Usapang Exports,” a series of seminars for Philippine exporters, from December 3 to 5, 2018 at the DTI International Building in Makati City.

Usapang Exports covers a wide range of discussions, which will be presented in three sessions. These are the “Innovative Solutions for Exporters featuring Startups” to be held on December 3; “Export Opportunities: Learning from the Trade Attaches” on December 4; and the “International Certification and Standards for Greater Market Access for Gifts, Decors, and Housewares (GDH) and Wearables Sectors” on December 5. Experts from the private sector as well as the country’s commercial attaches will serve as resource speakers of the sessions.

Pursuant to Presidential Proclamation 931 series of 1996 and the House Resolution No.33, the first week of December was declared as the National Exporters’ Week to encourage all sectors to move toward the promotion and development of Philippine exports.

Under the theme: “SPICE Up to Scale Up!” Usapang Exports aims to encourage Philippine exporters to take advantage of new technologies, market trends, and opportunities to grow their businesses. SPICE stands for “Stimulate. Permeate. Innovate. Connect. Export!”
